PALIO DI SIENA DINNERWARE

First held in 1656, The Palio di Siena, otherwise known as "Il Palio", is one of the oldest and most famous horseraces. This competitive bareback horserace occurs twice a year on July 2 and August 16 on The Piazza del Campo in Siena, Italy to honor The Virgin Mary. Fratelli Mari produced Dinnerware, Tiles, Clock and Garden Pots to commemorate the Palio. Choose from 17 Contrada Palio Patterns.

ITALIAN CERAMIC TILES

Our Italian ceramic tiles are created in small workshops in Deruta & Castelli, Italy by artisans using techniques passed down from generation to generation. Featuring such magnificent designs as the traditional Geometrico, Tuscan Fruits, Ancient Tiles of Venezia, The Palio di Siena Contrade Tiles and reproductions tiles from The Cathedral of San Donato, these beautiful yet durable Italian ceramic tiles are perfect for kitchen backsplashes, counters, baths, tables, walls or any areas you wish to decorate. Add some furniture felt pads to the back of the Italian Pottery and create and use as trivets or coasters.
