The Ricco Deruta decoration is the most representative decoration of Deruta. Entirely hand painted in the more classic scalloped shape. The Ricco Deruta decoration is one of the most representative decorations of Deruta and its ceramics. A decoration that dates back to the early 1500s and was also taken up by the fabulous painter Pietro di Cristoforo Vannucci, known as il Perugino. In this version the Ricco Deruta has been finished with cobalt blue instead of yellow and orange.

Founded in 1932, Fratelli Mari Maioliche is one of the oldest and most prestigious companies in Deruta producing fine, handcrafted majolica. This family run business made a name for itself through the world, and won recognition to various exhibitions and competitions. F.lli Mari continues the age-old tradition of producing the best examples of the majolica tradition. Every single piece is hand painted by the artists at the Fratelli Mari factory located in Deruta, Italy.
