Palio di Siena Tiles

Palio di Siena Ceramic Tiles – Celebrating the 17 Historic Contrade

Bring the colorful traditions of Tuscany into your home with our beautiful collection of Palio di Siena Ceramic Tiles, celebrating one of Italy's oldest and most exciting horse races.

Dating back to the Middle Ages, the Palio di Siena is a centuries-old tradition held twice each summer in Siena's magnificent Piazza del Campo. The race brings together Siena's historic neighborhoods, known as Contrade, each with its own distinctive emblem, colors, and traditions. Our collection celebrates all 17 Contrade, including Civetta (Owl), Giraffa (Giraffe), Onda (Wave), and many more.

These authentic hand-painted Italian ceramic tiles are handcrafted in Deruta, Italy, by Fratelli Mari Maioliche, one of Deruta's distinguished ceramic workshops. Fratelli Mari is the only company in Deruta authorized to reproduce the traditional Palio decorations, making these tiles especially meaningful to collectors and admirers of Italian history and culture.

Beautiful, durable, and versatile, these decorative Italian tiles are ideal for kitchen backsplashes, countertops, bathrooms, fireplace surrounds, and wall displays. They can also be displayed individually on decorative stands or used as trivets where appropriate.
