Fratelli Mari's Biscotti jar with the famous Deruta decoration - Raffaellesco features the dragon of Raffaellesco which was created by the master craftsmen of Deruta who reinterpreted frescoes of Raphael. The Raffaellesco pattern is a classic design from Deruta which was inspired by the classic designs of the Renaissance artist, Rafael. Raffaellesco is named after the artist Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (Raphael) who created the design. The pattern features a dragon - which is a symbol of strength, power and good luck in Italian culture - surrounded by swirling scrolls & vibrant florals.
