Since The Middles Ages, the Tuscan town of Scarperia has been a famed center of knives and cutlery production. Coltelleria Saladini in Scarperia is one of only four workshops left still producing knives. Based on historical patterns and materials, the Saladini collection is immediately distinguished by a stylistic renewal of forms with a particular attention to detail and the whole production process.
The Tirabusciò corkscrew is an exclusive creation from the Coltelleria Saladini. It is not just a design product and actually has very unique features. It is a particularly effective tool which optimises the leverage action with a different motion compared with usual corkscrews. In fact, its leverage mechanism works by getting traction on the inside of the bottle neck, which helps to pull the cork out as soon as you press downwards, rather than just extracting it when you pull up. In a nutshell, it makes the best use of the principle of leverage, which allows you to hold the bottle firmly on the table and to remove the cork without any problems.
The Tirabusciò is light and coated with various natural materials. It can be completely dismantled, which guarantees the best maintenance and performance.
